November 22, 2019 – Fast-casual restaurant chain Teriyaki Madness recently celebrated the grand opening of its first New Jersey location at Paramount Assets’ 137 Halsey Street in Newark. Samir Guzman, Paramount’s executive director of leasing and marketing arranged the 2,000-square-foot lease; Marta Villa of JLL represented the tenant.
“Situated on what arguably is the busiest corner in the Halsey Street corridor – just two blocks from Rutgers University – 137 Halsey Street proved the ideal location for this brand’s expansion into the Garden State,” said Guzman. “Teriyaki Madness is a great addition to Newark’s evolving retail landscape, and a terrific amenity for the City’s residential and business populations.”
The Seattle-style teriyaki restaurant offers large portions of flavorful food at reasonable prices. Menu items are made with high-quality ingredients such as all-natural marinated chicken, steak, salmon or tofu with stir-fried veggies and a base of steamed white, brown or fried rice, or Yakisoba noodles. “The food is delicious and clearly makes people happy,” said Newark resident Yash Jagad, who brought Teriyaki Madness to the City. “I think this concept would be a good fit anywhere. But I’m especially excited to have brought this brand to my community. Newark and Teriyaki Madness share a similar confidence as a City and brand both on the rise.”
