September 23, 2019 –Jaime Schultz, Executive Managing Director, and Jeffrey Lopez, Associate Director, of Lee & Associates NYC have negotiated a ground-floor, 1,300-square-foot lease at 15 Avenue A, between East First and East Second Streets, for Roberta’s. Although the brand currently has outposts at two UrbanSpace locations in Manhattan, this will be their first full-service restaurant in the borough.

In addition to their original restaurant in Bushwick, the famed restauranteurs behind Roberta’s have a location in Los Angeles. Schultz and Lopez also negotiated the lease for a 2,292-square-foot full-service Roberta’s restaurant in Williamsburg at 260 Kent Avenue, the second building at the Two Trees Domino Sugar Factory development. That location is set to open in early spring of 2020. Due to the national buzz around Roberta’s, the brand introduced a line of frozen pizzas which is available in high-end food stores and online. This new East Village location will feature their signature pizza menu, a selection of appetizers and a curated list of high-quality, natural wines.

“Both residents and destination diners in the East Village will be excited by this long-awaited expansion of a beloved brand,” says Schultz, who represented Roberta’s along with Lopez. “Situated right where the East Village meets the Lower East Side, this new Roberta’s location is guaranteed to see lines every day of the week.”

Surrounding restaurants and retailers include Boulton & Watt, Union Market, Dirty French, Russ & Daughters, Mr. Purple, Sweet Chick and Katz’s Delicatessen. 15 Avenue A is conveniently located near the F train at Second Avenue and the J and Z trains at Delancey Street-Essex Street as well as numerous bus lines.

The owner, Z + G Property Group, was represented by Chris DeCrosta and Roberto Rhett of GoodSpace. Roberta’s is expected to take occupancy in the spring of 2020. Asking rent was $160 per square foot and the lease term was 15 years.
