May 30, 2019 – Leading global commercial real estate services and investment management firm Colliers International announced today it has recruited veteran real estate investment professional El Warner to join the firm as an executive vice president in the firm’s Capital Markets group focusing on major retail investment properties.

Warner brings more than 15 years of experience to his new position, serving in progressively more senior posts at the most well-respected commercial real estate firms in the region. His expertise in the disposition of large shopping centers and “big box” properties has resulted in more than $2 billion in total sales volume.

“The recruitment of El Warner represents a big win for our strategic recruiting campaign in Southern California,” said Cody Cannon. Earlier this year, Cannon was brought aboard as Executive Managing Director for Colliers’ Greater Los Angeles Region. “El’s move is inspiring for our current brokerage staff and confirms that our management team is making an immediate impact and has brought a new energy and approach to running the business.”

For Warner, the move represents a return to Colliers, where he previously worked in its Downtown Los Angeles office. He most recently was National Director of Shopping Centers for Matthews Realty Advisors and previously held multiple senior positions at CBRE.

“The timing of this move back to Colliers, and the opportunity to work with many of my former colleagues is nothing short of perfect,” said Warner. “After gaining a wealth of knowledge and the perspective that comes from working at a smaller, boutique operation with a single focus, I’m confident that my clients’ needs will best be served within the global platforms provided by Colliers.”

Warner also cited the newly installed senior executive management team as a significant attraction for his return to Colliers. The company recently named David Josker as president of the Southwest Region.

“Colliers is focused on expanding its platform in this incredibly important global market,” said Josker. “Adding a well-respected professional like El is further evidence of our unwavering commitment to building a culture that revolves around our professionals, and ensuring they leverage the Colliers global platform to provide their clients with best in class service.”

“I’m extremely impressed with the new leadership team within Colliers, their plans for growth and the dedicated services and infrastructure in place to set me and my clients up for success,” Warner said. “These factors paired with my proven success in retail investment sales will absolutely benefit my client’s real estate goals moving forward.”
