July 17, 2018 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Nike signed a lease at 8552 Melrose Ave., a 4,557-square-foot storefront in the heart of the Melrose shopping district, for their first Nike Live concept store in Los Angeles.
Kazuko Morgan and Carine Mamann of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord in the transaction. The tenant was represented by Western Retail Advisors.
Nike by Melrose, situated on the corner of Melrose Ave. and Westmount Dr. in West Hollywood, opened in July 2018 and blends digital insights with premium services to provide shoppers with a new retail experience. Using data from local NikePlus members, the store offers premium services, such as the Nike Sneaker Bar, where shoppers can talk to a Nike Expert about available footwear, try on an item on the spot, purchase, and go. Curbside returns and exchanges, the ability to reserve products to in-store digital lockers, and one-to-one personal appointments are also among the services offered.
“We are thrilled to have Nike open this new concept store on Melrose,” said Vice Chairman Kazuko Morgan. “It fits in with the new tenants that have moved to the area, further enhancing the retail experience.”
Carine Mamann, Senior Director, said “We couldn’t be more excited to have the Nike by Melrose concept store join the block. Who better than an iconic and innovative brand like Nike to lead the way in pushing the bounds of seamless digital and physical commerce experiences.”
