May 6, 2019 – Andrew Schulman, Principal, Jason Richter, Principal, and Ryan Schimel, Director, Capricorn Retail Advisors, a division of Capricorn Asset Management, have arranged a 10-year lease for Hungry Angelina in a 2,627-square-foot space with patio in the newly-built 215,000-square-foot retail center, 2nd & PCH, 6550 East Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach, CA. It will be the third California unit of Chef Matthew Kenney’s popular vegan/vegetarian dining brand and is being developed with Madrid-based Lamucca Company. The retail center is anchored by a 45,000-square-foot Whole Foods flagship.
“Our team quickly assessed Chef Matthew’s criteria and knew this would be an excellent choice because it is in a brand new, centrally-located center surrounded by several affluent residential communities,” points out Mr. Schulman. “We also identified the inherent synergy between Hungry Angelina and Whole Foods, both of which have loyal customer-bases focused on healthy eating habits.”
Adds Mr. Richter, “Matthew Kenney is a visionary with a brand that is fashionable not only with vegan devotees, but with anyone seeking an elevated dining experience. It is not surprising his restaurants are re-shaping the culinary conversation nationwide, from Beverly Hills to Brooklyn.”
The opening of the Hungry Angelina at 2nd & PCH is anticipated for late October 2019. The landlord, CenterCal Properties, was represented inhouse by Fran Radji, Senior Leasing Director.
