September 5, 2019 — Avison Young, the world’s fastest-growing commercial real estate services firm, announced today that it has been named the exclusive U.S. property representative for Australia-based Body Fit Training.

The real estate company will help coordinate the fitness franchisor’s expansion across the U.S.
Body Fit Training is the fastest growing fitness franchise in Australia. The firm’s progressive training model, unique use of technology and unparalleled personalized coaching approach have led to the rapid and successful growth of the Body Fit Training brand. Body Fit Training has sold nearly 100 franchises in Australia since launching opportunities in April 2018.

Blake Olson, a vice-president in Avison Young’s downtown Los Angeles office, and Chandler Larsen, a senior vice-president in the firm’s downtown Los Angeles location, are leading Body Fit Training’s site-selection and leasing efforts as part of an aggressive plan to open dozens of locations in strategic markets across the nation over the next 12 months.

In a significant milestone, Olson and Larsen have completed negotiations for Body Fit Training’s first U.S. corporate-leased flagship location on the ground floor of 401 Wilshire Boulevard. The 12-story office/retail tower in downtown Santa Monica is nearing completion of a $20-million renovation of the ground floor space that will bring ample outdoor seating and new restaurants as a complement to Body Fit Training’s members and the building’s tenants. Body Fit Training will occupy 3,000 square feet of space and plans to open its doors in October 2019. Situated on the corner of 4th Street and Wilshire Boulevard, the location provides high traffic and visibility, 15-foot ceilings, ample member parking and easy access for nearby residents.

Like all of Body Fit Training’s future U.S. locations, the Santa Monica site will feature state-of-the-art equipment; technology-forward devices for members to track fitness progress and nutritional goals; full bathrooms with lockers and immaculate showers; and outdoor seating spaces.
